Mumbai, April 2 : Playback singer Jonita Gandhi, who has sung the song â??Touchbuddyâ?? with actor, singer and politician Pawan Singh, has shared what drew her to the song.

The singer is stepping into a bold new phase in her artistic journey, one that goes beyond playback and cements her as a truly multidimensional artist with a striking on-screen presence. In her latest groovy dance track, she not only lends her voice but completely owns the screen with effortless confidence.

Talking about the song, she told IANS, â??This was a completely new experience for me. As someone who loves dancing, I felt drawn to this, and I really embraced it as playing a character, not an extension of who I am, but a side I get to explore as a performerâ??.

â??Dacoit: A Love Storyâ?? is directed by Shaneil Deo. The film is a bilingual project, shot in Telugu and Hindi. It follows a narrative involving former lovers who reunite and engage in a series of robberies. The story combines elements of crime, action, and romance. Production is backed by Supriya Yarlagadda.

The film is set to arrive in cinemas on April 10, 2026.
